I'm always wondering why manufacturers decide to present their new bloated car besides its smaller and prettier predecessor. It makes me only want old model even more but they aren't selling them...
In McLarens case there is of course the price. You still might be able to afford the new one if you cannot afford the old one. I probably cannot even afford the spare wing for either...

To be fair, the P1 hasn't done anything yet. The F1 earned its status. In time, maybe the P1 will, but not yet.
